Peak to Peak Gondola - Whistler, British Columbia, Canada

The Peak to Peak gondola has joined Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain. One can now take the gondola from the top of Whistler Mountain to the top of Blackcomb Mountain. At a cost of $50 Million dollars this gondola is the first of its kind in the world. There are only 4 towers for the whole gondola. There are two towers on Whistler and two towers on Blackcomb. It is a 4 km journey across and the ride takes about 10 minues.

The Peak to Peak gondola has broken three world records:

Longest unsupported span of 3.024 kilometres
Highest lift of its kind at 436 metres above the valley floor
Completes the longest continuous lift system on the globe
