Top 10 things to do in Whistler in the Winter.
1. Skiing/Snowboarding- Choose between Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain. Never do the same run twice. Ski on Alpine glaciers, through the trees and if you're feeling adventurous try out jumping in the terrain park.
2. Peak to Peak Gondola- Go on a sunny day and take the Whistler Gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain. Once there take the Peak to Peak Gondola across to Blackcomb Mountain. If it's winter stop by Christines for a nice high alpine lunch. If it's the summer make sure you stop for some Lucia Gelato on the deck of the Rendezvous lodge.
3. Ziptrek- The original Ziptrek in Whistler. The same company that ran the zipline across Robson Square. See where Ziptrek started. Take a walk through the forest and zip over old growth and Fitzsimmons Creek. Make sure you try to go upside down when you're going over the creek.
4. Rimrock Cafe- My favorite restaurant in town. Pacific Northwest food, great service and great atmosphere. Located close to the Creekside area just 5 minutes south of Whistler the Rimrock Cafe is worth a visit. If there is only one restaurant that you visit when you are in town this is the one.
5. Cat skiing and boarding- Access the powder via snowcat. Powder Mountain Catskiing can take you out for half the price as heli-skiing. For $500 you can get up to 10 runs per day on virgin powder.
6. Sleigh Ride- Take a sleigh ride, get some hot chocolate and enjoy some gourmet fondue. Stay cozy under warm blankets on a sleigh ride near Green Lake or on Blackcomb Mountain.
7. Tube Park- The tube park is open and why not try your hand at sliding down the tube park. There are kids runs, green, blue and black runs that can be tried. You can go for an hour or longer.
8. Cross Country skiing- Go out to the Callaghan Valley to Whistler Olympic Park the site of the 2010 Olympics Cross Country events. The trails are open until April. There are trails around Lost Lake Park as well.
9. Scandinave Spa- Check out the newest spa in town. Following the Finnish tradition jump in the sauna and go straight into the cold bath. Various types of massage depending on what activities you have done during your stay.
10. Helicopter tour- Take a helicopter tour in the Coast Mountains. Check out the glaciers or take an Alpine hike and have a picnic.

As much as I love mountains and skiing, I've never been to Whistler. Now I know where to look when I need info though. Nice hub!
I'm glad that you've included the sunset in Whistler.
If you're a skier and want to maximize your stay in Whistler Blackcomb, I suggest going to its natural forest.
Sorrounded with fir tress, Whistler Blackcomb's glade runs are excellent and be ready to put your skills to the test.
