The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is scheduled to open Friday May 20, 2011 this year. Last year there was a record 1000 mountain bike riders that showed up for opening day. There may be a limited amount of runs open in the early season because Whistler had their 2nd snowiest year on record.
Eight of the Bike Park's trails are ready to go now. The trails are A-Line, Crank It Up, B-Line, Heart of Darkness, Ho Chi Min, Crack Addict, Devils Club and Hornet (Bike Park Trail Map). The Joyride Jump Park and the Air Dome will be open on May 20, 2011 for the season as well. A Demo Center is available this year where you can test ride more the 36 high performance downhill bikes from 8 different brands.
If you haven't been here to check it out the Whistler Bike Park boasts 50 downhill runs. There are a over 200 kilometres of trails. There area a variety of green (beginner), blue, black and double black (expert) runs on Whistler Mountain. The Bike Park is open from May 20, 2011 until October 10, 2011.
If you don't have a downhill bike or armour don't worry. Rentals are available at the base of Whistler Mountain. There are a number of bike shops in Whistler Village that you can get your equipment from. You can rent everything you need in Whistler. Come check it out.

I absoultely loved this hub! I wish I lived someplace where biking was popular. This place looks awesome. Your article is really well written, and the photo's are well matched. This hub is just really great. I can't say enough good things about it. :)
